An official from China's General Administration of Customs told Reuters on Thursday that Chinese customs had lifted the import ban on Tesla Model 3.
"We can confirm that the warning notice about Tesla has been canceled," the official said . " He only revealed Tao's last name.
Tesla declined to comment.
Two people familiar with the matter told Reuters earlier Thursday that the suspension had been lifted after Tesla made the necessary rectification.
The General Administration of Customs of China stopped customs clearance of Tesla Model 3 imported products last week, saying they did not have the required Chinese warning sign and the nameplate label was missing or incorrect.
Tesla said at the time that the company had reached a solution with the authorities.
