Unley RSL awarded his long-standing Medal of Merit
Current President Les Partridge admits his dedication to the submarinebranch.
In September 1947, Mr. Partridge joined the Army in the footsteps of his uncle, Les Partridge, who also served in World War I.
He was sent to Malaya in 1961 and sent to South Vietnam in 1968, where he served as an Army sergeant-
12 professional Field Regiment.
After 33 years of uniform, he was promoted to professional in 1980, two years before retirement. The now 87-year-

The Meritorious Medal was awarded to an RSL lifelong member who, in accordance with the decision of the state administration, has been joining for 30 consecutive years and has 25 years of outstanding service.
Mr. Partridge joined RSL for the first time in 1969 and served as president at Unley in 2000, thanks to his neighbor, former president Unley RSL.

Earlier this year, Mr. Partridge received the Australian medal for the services of veterans and their families.

\"If you look in the lobby, you will see people in their 90 s always supporting each other.
Although Mr. Partridge will be 88 years old in December, he has no intention of ending his term.

Four meritorious medals were awarded in South Australia this year.
